Don Morse Park Beach Restoration and Marina Enlargement

J.A. Brennan developed a design for removing the failing seawall and restoring ecological values at Chelan’s largest waterfront park. Project goals included enhancing the swimming beach and enlarging the marina. J.A. Brennan led a team of scientists and engineers who studied wind and wave analyses. The team developed a design that minimizes shoreline erosion, provides habitat enhancements for fish, and offers improved recreation opportunities. A new breakwater design was also developed that will allow for phased marina expansion. J.A. Brennan helped the City of Chelan win two state grants to fund the first phase of beach restoration and marina expansion.
