Swan Creek Park Phase 1

The Gathering Area is the center of the community’s interface with this treasured open space. J.A. Brennan developed a design for the new Gathering Area in 290-acre Swan Creek Park. The design is the result of an involved community and stakeholder process. The Gathering Area serves as a new, main park entrance and provides access to miles of wooded hiking and biking trails, a large community garden, picnic facilities, and nature-based play opportunities. The gathering circle is both an informal recreational space as well as a launching point for the many recreational and educational opportunities within the park.

J.A. Brennan also developed place-making features at two park gateways. Together with the Gathering Area, these park gateways will become community attractions that serve to define the character of this open space park.
